North Worcestershire Golf Club is delighted to be overseeing the organisation of the Droitwich Inter Club League for the next 2 seasons, especially as the first ever final between Evesham and Droitwich was held at NWGC in 1984, and the club is one of the 7 teams who enjoy unbroken membership of the league since it inception.
The minutes of the inaugural meeting were lost in last years floods, but in 1983 ten clubs accepted the invitation of Droitwich to form a league with a handicap limit of 24. By 1998 16 clubs participated and by 2003 reflecting the growth of interest in golf 24 clubs had joined. This necessitated 4 sections with semi final prior to the final.
It is anticipated that this Web Site will be able to provide results (see tables below) on a fortnightly basis throughout the "Round Robin" section matches.
The Final
The final was played between Sapey and Kidderminster,
Sapey won an exciting final by 3 and 2 with 3 extra holes being played in the final matches
